Borehamwood driver assaulted
A driver was assaulted after asking a fellow motorist to move a car which was blocking a Borehamwood road on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old man was driving along Belford Road between 4.30pm and 5pm when he asked the driver of a white BMW to move the car.
He was verbally abused by the other driver, who then deliberately drove into his vehicle.
The victim managed to drive to Berwick Road but was followed. After both vehicles stopped, the BMW driver assaulted the victim, who sustained a slight injury to his torso.
Hertfordshire Constabulary is investigating the incident, and PC Chris Golding said: "This would have been a frightening incident for the victim and I am urging the public to get in touch with any information.
"Incidents of this nature are rare, however they will not be tolerated and I would appeal to anyone who saw it take place, or knows anything about it, to please come forward."
The BMW driver was white, around 6ft tall and aged between 20 and 25.
He was thin, with short spiky hair and wore a dark T-shirt and tracksuit bottoms.
His passenger, who also got out of the car, was Asian, around 5ft 8in tall and of large build.
He had a shaved head and wore a brown T-shirt and black jeans.
Anyone with information should contact PC Golding on 0845 33 00 222 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
